Post-Natal Assessments
During a post-natal assessment, we discuss your history, I listen to your concerns, and we discuss your goals.
We can assess aches and pains; identify any pelvic floor dysfunction; abdominal diastasis (separation), back/pelvic dysfunction and anything else that is troubling you and then establish the best approach to your rehabilitation.
I encourage all my clients to establish goals that they can work towards. It may be to be able to walk 30min around the park without back pain. It may be to be able to cough without bladder leakage; to run a half marathon or prepare for another pregnancy! Everyone is different but establishing this as a part of your initial assessment allows us to create a treatment plan that will work for you.

Birth Prep Appointments
Birth prep appointments are an opportunity to address any aches and pains that you are experiencing as well as prepare your body for birth and beyond.
These sessions can include passive physiotherapy treatment and where appropriate also include movement and exercise-based management.

Pelvic Floor Physio
The Pelvic Floor is a group of muscles that support the Pelvic Cavity from below. The role of the Pelvic Floor is to provide support, aid in continence as well as sexual function.
Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy sessions involve a detailed discussion about your pelvic health. This includes aspects of bladder, bowel, obstetric, and sexual function. An internal assessment is often discussed and can be completed if you feel comfortable.
Treatment can involve education; strategies and exercises to improve function of the structures within the pelvic cavity. I correspond with your GP, OB or Gynecologist as necessary.
